LILO AND SAM IN THE NEWS - AGAIN

LILO and SAM making headlines again. Not only recently was their split the topic of many conversations, LILO is now going on a tour of gossip mags to tell her story.

In the newest issue of Us Weekly, Lindsay Lohan opens up about her heartbreaking split from Samantha Ronson, the "humiliating" weekend showdown with Ronson's family, and says that friends' fears she is suicidal are unfounded. "It's absolute hell," Lohan told Us on Monday in a far-ranging interview over several lengthy phone calls and emails where she was both agitated, crying and baffled by the turn of events.

Ronson broke it off with her girlfriend of nearly two years last Friday, and hired five security guards to keep Lohan out of an afterparty for her sister Charlotte at the Chateau Marmont. "The worst night of my life," Lohan -- who was staying directly one floor above the Ronsons with her mom Dina and sister Ali -- tells Us.

The next day, Ronson changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lohan. On Monday, Ronson's mom and sister asked police about obtaining a restraining order against Lohan, Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall confirms to Us. "I'm not a bad person and this is what happens," Lohan told Us through tears. "I was raised to treat people well, and I'm so tired of this drama."

Lohan says she's "so alone" without Ronson.

"Everyone's turned on me," says the actress. She tells the magazine that the night of the Chateau showdown, Nicole Richie walked by her and said "Uck," and Drea De Matteo said, "Come at me, bitch." "I'm a 22-year-old girl who's in love," she says. "I felt like I was in Mean Girls, but worse: Mean Girls was a movie."

Sources tell the magazine Ronson had repeatedly tried to break up with Lohan over the past month, but each time, "Lindsay threatens to kill herself -- she cares about her but wants out." Lohan laughs upon hearing that, saying she's okay.

"I'm just really hurt!" she says. "The whole situation is sick."

THE UNUSUALS PREMIERES TONIGHT ON ABC

The third network better known as ABC also has a new television show which premieres tonight called THE UNUSUALS.

Imagine seeing the quirky and interesting side of New Yorks finest. It will be another interesting show, and I actually hope it has some future. Looking at the previews, it looks to be an interesting show.

CBS PRESENTS HARPERS ISLAND

Imagine opening your mail and being invited to a beautiful wedding on the peaceful and stunning Harpers Island. You can only arrive by ferry and the island sits miles away from the hustle and bustle of busy Seattle streets.

CBS Presents Harpers Island, which I assume is a spin off of the hit show Twin Peaks in essence making it an eerie yet intriguing show. I am kinda excited to watch this one and see how it lands. The show is set on Harpers Island which seven years prior was the scene of multiple murders.

Only 13 episodes in total, so you will have to watch them all to see the twist in the end.

PARKS AND RECREATION
I have mixed emotions about this show. I am a huge fan of Amy Poehler (previously on Saturday Night Live) and since I am formerly from the great Hoosier state of Indiana, I like the fact that finally a television show realized there is a state there. However, do we really need a television show about a Parks and Rec. department? Oh then again, I want a show about radio again, look at how well WKRP did.

Many of you know Ben McKenzie as Ryan Attwood on the show The OC. What a great show by the way, well he is the new star of a new show on NBC called Southland. Rookie cop Ben appears as the lead of the show and tries to make it somewhere in the South end of LA

LIMA IS LIKE A CAN OF SPAM?????

"A LOT OF PEOPLE EAT IT. SOME EVEN LIKE IT, BUT NO ONE ADMITS IT OR BRAGS ABOUT IT".

Personally I like my spam fried and served on a wedge of cheese on a nice hoagie roll. Oh Irish Ham Sandwiches are the best and can be found in Cincinnati. But the thought posed here is that Spam is what people associate Lima with.

Northstar Brands is currently working on a project for the city of Lima that will help it identify itself and what they need to do to attract new residents, new business, etc. I personally am a huge supporter of the town doing this, its a step in the right direction.

During season six, “American Idol” contestants received $30 a day for food, one time hopeful Leslie Hunt, told E! News last year. She said they also received $500 to spend on clothes.

“Once you’re in the top 12, you get a check for even more money if you’re eliminated,” she said. “If you’re within the top two, then you get a car. The higher up you are, the more money you get when you get eliminated. I think the winner received a six-figure amount.”

And while on tour, the “Idols” receive a stipend rumored to be between $1,000 and $5,000, msnbc.com previously reported.

O.J. Simpson is in prison in Nevada serving a 33 year sentence for felony charges stemming from a September, 2007 armed robbery of a sports collectible dealer in Nevada. OJ’s long-suffering girlfriend, Christine Prody, hasn’t wasted any time moving on with her life. Simpson only started serving his sentence in December of last year and Prody is already pregnant with another man’s baby.

As many of you know, previous to Lima I was a Hoosier. I don't hail from the land of corn, just lived there for a while and made a lot of great friends along the way.

Mama Karen as we all like to call her is better known as Karen Rite (Program Director of WNDV-FM, WSMM-FM, WZOW-FM in South Bend) kinda took me under her wing sometime ago and has trained me over the years to be a better person and radio guy.

The other fellow in the pictures above is my best friend Jay Michaels who works in Terre Haute at WMGI-FM as the afternoon guy. Jay and Karen were great friends back in the day when they both worked for Louisville's Jacor Broadcasting. Over the years, we all have tangled together and are great friends and radio geeks all alike.

SIMON COWELL DOESNT EVEN HAVE TIME FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA

(people) Too busy for President Barack Obama? That's what Simon Cowell claimed on Monday's Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"He wanted to have dinner, and our diaries didn't quite match," said the acerbic American Idol judge, 49. "He wanted to do eight [o'clock], I was free at nine. We didn't quite connect."

The remarks came four days after Obama appeared on the NBC late-night talk show and told Leno that since taking on the responsibilities of commander-in-chief he's found Washington, D.C., to be a lot like American Idol – and everyone is a Simon Cowell.

"I think what he was trying to say was Washington's becoming more intelligent," Cowell deadpanned.

Idol host Ryan Seacrest, who was sitting next to Cowell, piped up, "I'm not quite sure it was a compliment."

Shot back Cowell: "That's how I interpreted it."

When Cowell had said he was too busy to meet with Obama, Leno had asked, "What were you doing, getting your teeth whitened?"

Maybe your a fan of the show, maybe not. Either way, Jack Bauer knows who the president elect should be and thats all that matters. Jack Bauer of course is the lead character on the hit show 24. Sutherland thinks the show's fictional African-American president got America used to the idea. He says, "Ten years ago people would have said that it would never happen. I can say the same thing about season seven. We had a female president, and I can guarantee you that is going to happen."

This Saturday, I have the opportunity to catch up with some very good friends, and im really excited about it. In the picture you can see Karen Rite who I used to work with in Indiana prior to moving to Lima. Also on the trip, and I will post more pictures later is the very fun Jay Michaels who works for WMGI in Terre Haute Indiana. So you could say, its a "Hoosier" thang!

ZAC EFRON SAYS NO TO FOOTLOOSE

The teen-throb star of Disney’s first three “High School Musical” films, has pulled out of Paramount’s planned remake of “Footloose,” in an apparent effort to stretch his career beyond fame as just a cute song-and-dance man.

Efron told the studio last week that he did not want to do another musical at this point in his career, according to a senior member of the production team.

The team member told TheWrap that Efron had script approval on the movie and used a rewrite on the screenplay as the loophole to get out of his contract: “People had been working on this project since last July -- we were all shocked.”

ME AND THE TREADMILL

For the first time in YEARS, I have discovered a treadmill. So you might be asking, seriously? Yes, I finally joined a gym (ANYTIME FITNESS IN CLOCKTOWER PLAZA) and I actually love going!

I am for one not a gym rat by any means. So for me to go is a rarity to say the least. I started going Friday night and actually ran one mile (its my first time). I also did all the basic weight machines in reps.

Then on Saturday we had a live broadcast, and not only that, I ran an additional mile on the treadmill and discovered what the elliptical is and did another mile on that.

Satuday night Jen and Mike asked if I wanted to go to the gym with them, so I did and ran yet another mile along with biking two miles and ran on the elliptical for an additional mile.

Then last night I went again. So far, four times to the gym and Im starting to enjoy it. Not too bad really! All together, I have ran 5 Miles on the treadmill, 3 Miles on the Elliptical and biked 4 miles. Im pretty darn proud of myself!

Rihanna kept things low key, but the cops were still involved when her driver got a ticket on the way home for tinted windows and not having a license plate. It doesn't look like Chris Brown was around, although many of you don't believe the rumor that the two are taking a break.

Now the stories are that Rihanna and Chris Brown have decided to take a much needed vacation from one another at the present time.

SIMON COWELL SAYS THUMBS DOWN TO NEW NBC SHOW

So NBC likes the money it sees American Idol rolling in. NBC also likes the viewership numbers that American Idol is rolling in. What does that mean?

NBC wants to make the best possible "next best thing" to American Idol and Simon Cowell doesn't think too highly of this stunt.

Looks like Mariah is about ready to move her highly insured "booty" into a new house. The New York Post reports long-time New York resident Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon are searching for a new home in Santa Monica, California. A source tells the paper, "She wants to act more and she has to be on the West Coast to do that." Cannon just inked a two-year deal with Nickelodeon, which is based in Santa Monica.

Texas oil-rigger Michael Sarver was the first up with some harmonica accompaniment on "Ain't Goin' Down Till the Sun Comes Up" by Garth Brooks. Randy Travis advised Sarver not to slip up on the lyrics.

* Randy Jackson said, "It was a cool song choice, but it didn't show your vocal capabilities."
* Kara DioGuardi said, "We got to see your personality. We missed the big notes."
* Paula Abdul said, "You had fun and we had fun. This is the genre that suits you so well."
* Simon Cowell said, "I couldn't understand a single word you sang. I thought it was a bit clumsy."

Teen powerhouse Allison Iraheta rocked the place with "Blame It on Your Heart" by Patty Loveless. Travis praised the maturity of the 16-year-old's voice, and advised her not to be too cute on stage.

* Randy said, "I thought it was dope."
* Kara said, "I am starting to think you could sing the alphabet and sing it well."
* Paula said, "No one will ever take away the power to your voice. You will go far in the business."
* Simon said, "I thought it was good. It did look like you were struggling remembering some of the words."

Kris Allen made an unusual move and left his twangin' guitar at home on country night. He did the Garth Brooks ballad "To Make You Feel My Love." Travis said Brooks would be proud of Allen's take. Paula expressed surprise at the guitar-less performance. Simon also praised the move. Randy dubbed Allen a "Tender Dawg."

* Paula said, "I am pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a pure vulnerable performance."

Lil Rounds did Martina McBride's "Independence Day." Travis advised the R-and-B singer to slow it down on stage. Simon insisted on calling her "Little" despite multiple corrections from the panel.

* Randy said, "When you hit the chorus, you opened up and it got a little better."
* Kara said, "It wasn't your best but good for standing your ground."
* Paula said, "Your vocals are spot on."
* Simon said, "It kind of came over as a one of those girls that was forced to sing that at a wedding."

Jonas Brother look-alike Adam Lambert had the most unusual take on country music. Randy Travis was a bit surprised by Adam's nail polish and plan to do a breathy Middle Eastern take on Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." Travis just shook his head and said, "I don't even know what to say about this boy."

* Randy said, "It's current, it's young, it's fresh, it's hot."
* Kara said, "All a little strange. I got my drama, but it was strange."
* Paula said, "You are someone who stands out and is true to who you are."
* Simon said, "What the hell was that... Lot of people throwing their television sets out the window at this point."

Blind contestant Scott MacIntyre was at his trademark piano for Martina McBride's "Wild Angels." Travis said Scott was one of the more surprising of the singers he mentored.

* Randy said, "I am looking for the hot crazy vocals and I am not seeing them."
* Kara said, "We want you to up your game. Really deliver it."
* Paula said, "Tonight was another impressive performance. The piano may be a bit of a crutch though."
* Simon said, "Your performances are too similar. Choose better songs."

Memphis, Tennessee's Alexis Grace, considered a favorite in the country category, did Dolly Parton's "Jolene." Travis predicted that Dolly would be proud.

* Randy said, "You didn't hit the notes quite well. There was some pitch issues."
* Kara said, "I think you lost your edge. It was a little flat for me."
* Paula said, "That song was more effective for you than the others think."
* Simon said, "We will forget that performance in ten minutes."

Danny Gokey sang Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel." Travis praised Gokey for having soulfulness most pro singers wished for. Simon said Gokey's white jacket made him look like he was going on a polar expedition.

* Randy said, "The verses, you have to support them."
* Kara said, "The front half wasn't spectacular."
* Paula said, "I think you were brilliant. I think Carrie would buy that record."
* Simon said, "You have to have a little bit of light and shade. My only problem is what you are wearing."

Randy Travis mentored fellow North Carolina native Anoop Desai for Willie Nelson's "You Were Always on My Mind." Anoop was going in as the underdog, but Randy Travis assured us that his slow soaring rendition would be the best we've heard so far from Anoop. He was right. The judges agreed it was one of the night's best performances, and the biggest surprise.

* Randy said, "You can really sing. You proved it."
* Kara said, "What you did tonight was amazing. Best performance of the night."
* Paula said, "Anoop is back. I am so proud of you. The love fit you with this song."
* Simon said, "You went from zero to hero."

Megan Joy, formerly known to us as Megan Joy Corkrey, was in the hospital this week with the flu. She struggled through sickness to do the Patsy Cline classic "Walkin' After Midnight." Travis expressed concern that the song has been sung to death, but still thought Megan had a unique jazzy cabaret-style take. The judges were impressed.

* Randy said, "I thought it would have been a train wreck, but I was impressed."
* Kara said, "Perfect song, perfect look. You're a winner."
* Paula said, "You are a fighter. You were fantastic tonight."
* Simon said, "You should have the flu every week. You were better this week than last week."

Matt Giraud was at the piano for Carrie Underwood's "So Small." Randy Travis said he has reservations about Giraud doing the tune.

* Randy said, "Favorite performance of the night. You got it going on."
* Kara said, "There ain't nothing small about you. Amazing. I love you."
* Paula said, "You're a authentic performer. You're piercing through so many people's hearts."
* Simon said, "Tonight you out sang Danny. Great vocals. Terrific performance."

On Tuesday, the judges took issue with Grace's choice of song, with the show's newest judge, Kara DioGuardi, saying the singer had lost some of her "edge." Of course, this means Grace didn't make it into the Top 10.

Us Weekly has the exclusive video of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian kissing, holding hands -- and even sucking on each other's fingers during a March 7 date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California. Twenty-two seconds into the clip, Cibrian arrives at the restaurant and they walk in hand-in-hand. Then they're seated -- as seen in the center left of the frame -- and proceed to hold hands (36 seconds) and kiss (1:47). At the 2:10 mark, Rimes suggestively sucks on Cibrian's finger. They leave together shortly after.

Us Weekly has seen the $95 receipt for the dinner, as paid for by Cibrian on his credit card and signed by him.

SOME CSI:NY FOR YOUR SAINT PATTY'S DAY

Okay, last night was Saint Pats, and while I am a strong blooded Irish man, I didn't celebrate my own holiday like most would. Instead, I insisted on making a box of Hamburger Helper and watching one of the best shows of all time CSI:NY. I love that show!

I worked on a few things at the station til 8ish or so. Then after, I went home...started fryin up some hamburger and even had a adult beverage of choice.

Sat on the edge of my comfortable bed and shared diner with my cat to enjoy CSI New York! I LOVE THAT SHOW so much better than the other CSI's. It may not been exciting by any stretch of the imagination, however it wasnt too bad.

JENNIFER ANNISTON IS NOT GETTING MAYERED

A source said her decision came after Mayer “went cold” following the Oscars. The actress’s claim contradicts reports that Mayer was the one who ended their affair. Pals said Jen felt angry and used.

“It’s humiliating. To say her feelings are hurt is an understatement.”

Okay, I thought that was just too funny to pass up. So as you know, the race is on between Madonna, Brangelina and OctoMom on who can be the most popular because the amount of babies they have.

"It's something I have been considering," Madonna said in an interview with the country's Nation newspaper. "But [I] would only do if I had the support of the Malawian people and the government."

After a mass stampede at one of the tryouts, 3 people were arrested for disorderly conduct along with six others who were hurt during the rush of the models. Police weren't immediately sure what caused the commotion. But New York's Daily News reported that a fight had broken out among the bystanders, and then, moments later, a car spewing smoke appeared and reportedly led to shouts that a bomb had exploded.

However, they are addicting! So I have decided that I cannot go near these little delicious pieces of chocalate with a caramel coating. Thank you Robin for bringing them in!

Ahhh...so I have discovered that Meijer now sells Andy Capp Cheddar Fries. I remember as a kid, my mom would take me and my sister to this place called The Grocery Bag in downtown. It was a novelty food store and they sold the worlds biggest Ice Cream Cones and yes, ANDY CAPP CHEDDAR FRIES. My sister would always buy chocolate milk with her dollar and I would buy a bag of these tasty treats. On the way home, my sister would always want some and of course as a big brother...I shared :)

(tmz) DJ AM, in an incredible sequence of events, was scheduled to fly on the doomed Continental flight that crashed in Buffalo and killed 49 people -- it would have been his second plane crash in six months.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Brown, 19, is back in a Santa Monica, Calif., studio with Rihanna, 21, working on an as-yet-untitled duet with producer Polow Da Don. "The theme is about being stronger and growing stronger in a relationship," a source tells Us. "The song was originally created for Rihanna before the fight. However, it wasn't initially slated for Chris to be on the song."

Adds the insider, "The funny thing is, the song expresses the emotions that both Chris and Rihanna are feeling at this moment - facing challenges and overcoming the ups and downs of a relationship in which you become stronger." Melissa Rycroft also showed her stuff as she easily claimed seconds last night. You may remember her from last week and The Bachelor. Glad she landed on stage again (so to speak).

Narrowly escaping the last position was bull-riding champ Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower proving that eight-seconds on a wild bull could be less painful that three-minutes on the dance floor. While he still remains Chris Connors favorite, I guess we will just have to see how he rides the bull next week.

NEW APARTMENT JITTERS

So as many of you know, I recently moved into a new apartment. Its a nice one, an upstairs one bedroom of a house with a really large living room and even a bigger kitchen (which I like the most).

So now your asking, "whats up with the screen door?"

Last night, I just begun to fall asleep around 11:30 after watching an episode of CSI:NY which I love. As my eyes finally close all of a sudden...bang! Now remind you, I just moved onto North Metcalf, so its a number of things going thru my head. About ten seconds later...bang! So I begin to get out of bed and look around and can't find the source. I figure it might be a bad water pipe, so I lay back down. BANG! It gets louder and louder and more frequent!

BANG! Okay, seriously..its getting on my nerves. I look out the window and see the neighbors storm screen door swing back and forth in the terrential downpour. Whew!

Oh, and that wasn't all. After I finally cope with the noisy neighbor guy, I begin to fall asleep. About 1:30 AM I hear a large swooshing sound outside my window. Seriously, what in the world?
I jump out of bed again and something hit my bedroom window. I look outside to a very dark sky, no streetlight..nothing! Again, something hit my window! So I put on my pajamas and open the front door to find that my wicker chair decided to lodge itself between the house siding and window.

I guess its just the new apartment jitters, but I will get used to it eventually.

OOPS, SHE DID IT AGAIN!

Well she isn't pregnant and she didn't get married for 55 hours again, so what is it this time? Kevin Federline has been a great father by bringing little Sean Preston and Jayden James to the shows, however he hasn't actually taken them inside the circus.

Federline says the show is very raunchy at points of the day, and he would rather his kids grow up and learn values. Ouch! So during the practice sessions, Britney sees her children sitting in the room and it cheers her up.

Im really glad that she at least gets to see her kids and they get to see their mom perform. It must mean a lot to both parties involved. However, she may want to rethink the clothing option!

The L.A. County District Attorney has just charged Chris Brown with felony assault and making criminal threats, also a felony.

The charging documents name "Robyn F." as the alleged victim. Brown will be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA. A spokesperson for the D.A. tells TMZ he could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison.

Yeah, Im not joshin ya, Star Magazine recently reported that the couple tied the knot at Diddy's beautiful estate just off the shore of Miami last weekend. This is the same weekend Brown is seen driving jet-skiis and more all over the Atlantic shore.

Even more interesting is the fact that Usher on Monday was very upset with Mr. Brown, and late yesterday he has backed off his stand saying he hopes they are happy. Hmm...married?

Oh, and thats not all!

TMZ reports that Rihanna told police this is NOT THE FIRST TIME that Chris Brown beat Rihanna. Its been happening for a while and continues to escalate. The photo that TMZ obtained showing Rihanna battered, bloody and bruised is mild compared to other photos. We've learned additional pics were taken on February 9, the day after the attack, and they are far more gruesome -- the bruises and swelling far more pronounced.

Melissa e-mails Jason

SO folks, the story isn't over yet for our fearless Jason and Melissa. Might I add that I feel really bad for her, she was dumped on national television to over 15Million viewers!

Here are just a few of her e-mails she wrote to Jason a few weeks back after the breakup was taped.

"Last night didn't go NEAR how I thought... I still can't believe how you can't give reasons other than 'It changed.'... You know as well as I do that you didn't give 100% to me or the relationship. And I don't understand how you can walk away form something without giving it your all," she wrote in the e-mail dated January 19, 2009. "But I am walking away knowing I did."

and it doesn't stop there

"And getting confirmation about Molly in front of people like that was a complete classless move if you ask me - how could you do that to me after I repeatedly asked you about it? I'm not stupid, I knew about Molly... and you lied to me about it," she wrote. "I can't even tell you how much respect I lost for you... but it makes this whole process from here on out much easier for me."

So you think Jason would own up to something, right? In an interview with People following Monday's finale, Jason insisted he had no choice in how the situation played out, claiming it was "part of the deal" in his contract - a sentiment echoed in his reply e-mail to Melissa.

"The producers had a lot to do with it. I am so sorry. This is so horrible," Jason wrote.

Here is where I have to give Melissa credit. SHE DIDN'T BELIEVE IT!

"You are a grown man and perfectly capable of making your own decisions," she replied in a subsequent e-mail. "Own your actions and stop blaming this process."

In a later e-mail, dated January 21, 2009, Jason answered Melissa's note, even going as far as to say he had suffered karmic retribution for calling off the engagement.

"You don't deserve any of it at all. I wish there were more that I could say. I want to take all of your pain away and put it on me," he replied. "If you are talking about Karma, I slipped and fell and had a huge gash in my leg 3 inches wide and to the bone. I deserve so much worse for what I am doing to you."

"I do think it's a little ironic that you kept telling me, 'Morally, how could I ever get back with DeAnna after what she did to me?' And I agree... just seems like a very similar situation with your new lady... Just a little irony I guess," Melissa wrote. "Seeing the person that you became, you are right: a relationship between you and I would never work out... I'm not mad... I'm not hurt - seeing how things were handled helped me get over things quickly.

"I do wish you both the best though. Take care," Melissa wrote.

Well, I was surpised to see my mom sent me a really cool gift in the mail today. I opened it up and it was a SNUGGIE! So I have been totally bugging my mom for one of these for months now, so yay!

I am in love with it. But it perplexes me that how could someone become so rich for sewing sleeves onto a blanket. I need to get crackin soon on some ideas to make a million dollars.

No, this is not a picture of my mom. However what in the world is that growing on her fingers?

A Salt Lake City woman who was in Guinness World Records for her long fingernails has lost them in a car accident. Lee Redmond suffered serious injuries in the Tuesday crash.

Redmond was the current Guinness record holder, with nails that hadn’t been cut since 1979. Her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail — on her right thumb — stretching 2 feet, 11 inches, according to the Guinness Web site.

Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. Don Hutson said Redmond was ejected from an SUV, the Deseret News reported Thursday on its Web site. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Poor Poor Rihanna. I mean, who does Chris Brown think he is? Claims now say that even if Rihanna wanted to, the extensive damages done to her face are so bad that there is no going back.

Its been an amazing week! Knowing that we helped over 40 women who need to have checkups and more concerning breast cancer made it a great week.

Lets see, I finally joined a gym. I know...talk about being a little scared, I havent seen the inside of a gym since High School when I played varsity baseball. I am now a member of Anytime Fitness located in Clocktower Plaza.

Ouch, I feel really bad for Justin Timberlake, especially after what happened on his golf course he owns just outside of Memphis Tennessee. Looks like a maintnance worker was trying to clear a few limbs when an entire tree fell on him, making it a fatal accident. The course is owned and operated by Justin, and its one of two that he has in the greater Memphis area.

On to the Grammy's!

If you watched last night, a band member of Coldplay openly apologized to Sir Paul McCartney for the use of part of his song. VivaLaVida still walked away with "Song of the Year" which should make Chris Martin happy.

Speaking of Chris, this time lets go to Chris Brown. The man, while not certain of his own doings still turned himself into the LAPD last night. Both he and Rihanna were supposed to be crown jewels on the red carpet, however neither showed up.

Okay, so im a huge fan of one miss Cameron Diaz, and there has been rumors that she is on the way to do another Angels movie. Exciting, right?

And I need your help!!! Here is why, and here is how you can help.

Over the next month, my goal is to cut all soda out of my daily diet. Not only do I host afternoons on Star 92.1, but Im also the day to day program director. So I basically have a lot of stress that no one knows about on the air.

Soda and Stress go hand in hand...and its really an addiction to keep me alive and running.

So starting February 2, I am going to not drink any soda...and switch to all water. I was told that on average you can shed 10-12 pounds doing this, and its my goal! So I will blog everyday on my progress and I need your help to keep me on track and excited about doing this...plus I need your tips on other ways to lose weight besides going to a gym

Okay, I apologize, its been a few days since I last posted, actually a couple weeks.

Just about two weeks ago my grandma passed away and as soon as I got back from the funeral, I had to have teeth pulled (yuck). Then had work done on my car and then found out my grandpa was put in care of Hospice. He passed away today. It may be the weirdest December of my life.

However, to cheer me up, my friends at Bonneville Cincinnati's WUBE sent me a video about "skeeching". I had no clue what it was, until I saw this video. So we are going to try it here real soon, just have to get JP Knight to say yes, hehehehe (evil grin)

Thank goodness its over. Black Friday I mean. Did you happen to be driving around Lima and it take you 15 minutes to turn out of American Blvd? Seriously, its just another Friday! Well, I guess I cant complain, I bought myself a new outfit from Old Navy. And props to Tiffany our Sales Manager, Michelle from Sign Pro Imaging and of course JP Knight for making Star shine on Black Friday! Couldn't do it without my team.

IKEA ON MY MIND

So I had the opportunity to visit OHIO'S first Ikea in Cincinnati this weekend. I fell in love, I dont mean just randomly in love, I mean..IN LOVE with IKEA! I found a painting for $9.99 and a couch, yes a couch for only $229. Who could pass that up? Besides the fact that when I tried to check out one of the showrooms my friend knocked over a vase and it is no longer with us, the place was amazing.

Ah, thank goodness I can finally get out of the studio at 6:55 each night as I give the microphone over to Nudge.

He joins us from after 4 years in Atlanta Georgia. Sure, it will be a bit cooler than ATL, but after a few sweaters and turtle necks he should fit in pretty well.

Nudge has been on the radio in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chattanooga and he is glad to finally move back to his home Buckeye State.

Five Beauty Tips in a pinch - I just have to say Im glad to be a guy!

Check it out:

#1.) CONDITIONER. If you need something to help comb out the tangles, look in the kitchen. Combine an AVOCADO with a half-cup of MAYONNAISE or whole milk, and leave it in for fifteen minutes. It's better than anything you can buy at the drug store.

#2.) CONCEALER. The thick residue around the top of a FOUNDATION bottle is a great substitute when you're in a pinch. Pat it on and blend it carefully. Use your ring finger to avoid gobbing on too much.

#3.) HAIR SPRAY. If you're frizzed out and desperate, use a little bit of hair gel instead. Wet your hands then lightly coat them with gel. Flatten out problem areas and style your hair just like you would normally. Then let it air-dry to lock it in place.

#4.) SHAVING GEL. You can't go out without a smooth pair of legs, right? So, if you're out of shaving gel, try HAIR CONDITIONER. Most types contain silicone, which creates a smooth surface that will reduce nicks and cuts.

#5.) MASCARA. Use your fingertip and dab a small amount of Vaseline on your eyelashes. The petroleum will define them and make them glisten when they catch the light.

After all my might, sometimes I just dont understand. I really try to be a compassionate person and it always is frustration in silence. But as the old saying goes, "The good ones finish last"

I just need to catch up on sleep and not worry myself sick sometimes. That may be part of it, haha. Someone told me I worry so much, im gonna give myself an ulcer. I guess its all part of who I am.

My biggest battle is my goal to get on track. I want to lose 15 lbs., I want to stop drinking soda all together (but its so addicting), I want to be financially set (dont we all), I want to improve my ride..

I guess thats the "war within" right now. I just hope to get it fixed!

Valaeri Michelle

Many of you dont know what I have at my home...well, I have a cat named Valaeri Michelle (Pronounced Valarie) and she officially rules the house. I guess im blogging about her today because I realized how much she controls things.

I get home at night, and if its like most nights...I dont arrive until 11PM. I put the key in the door and all you hear is meeeeeooooowwww. I walk in the door, give her the scoop of food and again its meeeeeooooowwww.

I dont know why I think of it, and for some reason today of all days..but Val is the most unique cat ive ever had. I grew up, we had Pepsi, Scotti, Tiger, Providence, Missy, Mama Kat and Tigger. All of them great cats, but this is the first one that truly ruled the roost as they would say.

Dare I move anything in the apartment, she gets very testy. And the new thing is when I get upset with her, she likes to chew the cord to my TiVO.

Home Sweet Home

You ever think of the day when you miss home? I happen to drive thru Cincinnati this weekend again and it made me miss it more than ever before. The skyscrapers, the brick sidewalks, the backed up traffic, the lights of the city beckon me everytime I head up I-75.

I remember going to see my Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and even Cats. Walking up Hill Street to the top of Mount Adams each day, discovering the abandoned subway that was never finished underneath the city streets, my first date at 4 years old with a girl at Findlay Market, A Graeters Ice Cream Cone, looking out my window at the most beautiful skyline in the entire world, The soap truck (which is what we nicknamed it) bareling down Celestial Ave., jammin to Power 107...and Q102, The smell of the river as the first of October hit, Friday night lights everywhere, The Mount Washington Parade, Watching my grandpa listen to the reds and watch them on TV at the same time and the first bite of a Skyline Chili Dog made fresh in Cincinnati by Cincinnatians.

Its those moments, those blips that you think about and what they mean to you. Its those memories you hold dear and knowing that life is so much more than what you ever expected at the age of 11.

Everyones hometown means something to them, something special, something near and dear to their heart mind and soul. Its that meaning of Cincinnati, the Emerald City, the Queen of the Midwest, The first city in America...that is my memory!

Flavor of the week

Time to get bloggin, or whatever its called. This is another edition of my world famous...blog!

So what is the flavor of the week? By watching television I would say it has something to do with an elephant and Saint Paul Minnesota, but thats just speculation. This is going to be the most historical election ever, and no matter which way you vote, the most important thing is you vote.

Off to Tennessee I go, well for the weekend. I am heading out on a vacation day to help someone move to Lima. While ill still be working, the good thing is I get to see my old stomping grounds of Cincinnati and Lexington.

Speaking of Cincinnati, I was there this last weekend visiting friends and swung by to see my aunt. It reminds me how much I miss home. I grew up on one of the most beautiful landscapes in the entire world (Mt. Adams). My family still lives on Prospect Hill. So many memories :)

As for this Thursday edition: I was inspired by a speach last night that boot goosebumps on me. Im not for or against either candidate, but its important that as a country, we unify and vote this November, whoever you may chose.

Family and Politics dont mix

As an American, we have liberties and rights. One of the biggest is the right to freedom and privacy...the other is the right to vote.

Im not going to pick political sides, its not my duty to do so during this election season. However I feel that I have to make one statement: We need to leave Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin's family alone.

Family and Politics should never mix. If its the candidate, than that is one thing...but leave the family out of the controversy. If anything, we as a country should be proud at the fact that her daughter is doing all the right things and going to get married to her boyfriend of 2 years.

My other thougts arent so dexter. Instead, I had a great weekend in Kentucky. Had to come back to work on Labor Day, but other than that, it was a lot of fun. University of Kentucky beat Louisville 27-2. Talk about a game!

As for this Tuesday edition: My thoughts and prayers go out to those effected by Hurricane Gustav. I wish you safety and all the best.

September...where art thou September

September, is it here yet or is it just the feeling of brisk mornings, college football, broken hearts and seeing a santa decoration at the Cable Road WalMart. Yep, its not here yet, but it sure feels it.

Speaking of September, there is a new hit called Cry For You that im really jammin to. Has a great beat to it, almost like Cascada.

Im really excited about this weekend. I get to kick things off with a concert in Detroit, and then following up is going to see my best friend Brian in my ole stomping grounds of Kentucky. Its the big game UK-Louisville, and I am in the mood for some Cardinal sandwiches. Then Sunday after the game and if time allows, I am off to my other ole home sweet home of Lafayette Indiana (Boiler Up). I havent seen my other best friend Cindy in forever. So im really looking forward to lots of catching up this weekend.

You dont realize how much your friends mean to you until you live three hours away from either one of them. Thats when everything you know feels so far away. So when you get to see them, you take advantage of it!

As for this Thursday edition: We all know that the big happening this week is going on in Denver. Im not going into my political feelings, but another major announcement will be made tomorrow too (McCain Running Mate). So if anything, im looking for a really busy news cycle over the weekend.

When I Grow Up

I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be on movies...

Okay, that was the tune just jammin in my headphones. Its not bad, but not the greatest by the dolls.

First: I solved the Wheat Thin issue today. I decided not to eat any at all. Talk about a compromise. Instead, I stared at my computer selecting the new songs we will be adding to the radio station. Adventerous, no...but still fun!

Second: Im psyched, my latest Netflix order came in and it includes Psych Season 2. I have to admit, I have a new favorite show. James Roday and Dule Hill are both tremendous actors.

Third: Tomorrow JP Knight goes back to college at ONU. Im excited for him to be entering the territory of education, knowledge and...well, its college, what else do they do there? He will still remain here at the station doing weekends and filling in for me when im on vacation, but he wont be working with Kidd Kraddick this school year. Im not sure if it was the stunts they made him do, or what?

As for this Wednesday edition: So I get to see Maroon Five, totally stoked to say the least. Going up Friday with Rob and his best friend Lisa. They will be performing with Counting Crows in Detroit. Its been a while since I saw Maroon Five, and better yet, its Rob's first concert.
